These terms govern your use of tently.dev, the Tently dashboard, the Tently GitHub App and the Tently MCP server (the “Service”), provided by Tently (“we”, “us”). By creating a workspace or using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it, and “you” means that organization.
1. The Service
Tently indexes the repositories you connect, maintains a store of architectural decisions, and reviews pull requests against it. The Service is in early access: features may change, and we may limit or suspend access while we improve it. We will give reasonable notice before removing functionality you rely on where we can.
2. Accounts and workspaces
- You sign in with GitHub and are responsible for activity under your account.
- Workspace owners control who is a member and what role they hold, and are responsible for the repositories they connect.
- Keep API keys and any model provider key you add confidential. Revoke or replace them if you suspect they were exposed.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to your code and to the decisions and feedback you create (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to access and process Your Content only to provide, secure and support the Service for you. We do not store your source code beyond the job that processes it, and we do not use Your Content to train machine-learning models. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.
You confirm you have the rights needed to let the Service process the repositories you connect.
4. Your own model key
If you add your own OpenRouter API key, model requests for your workspace are made with it. Charges for those requests are billed to you by OpenRouter, and your use of OpenRouter and the underlying providers is governed by your agreements with them. We are not responsible for their availability, pricing or data handling.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- connect repositories you are not authorized to access;
- attempt to access another workspace’s data or bypass access controls;
- probe, scan or load-test the Service beyond normal use, or disrupt it for other users;
- use the Service to build a competing product by copying its features or outputs;
- use it in violation of law or of GitHub’s terms.
6. AI output
Findings and extracted decisions are produced with large language models. They can be incomplete or wrong. They are an aid to your review process, not a replacement for it; you remain responsible for what you merge and ship.
7. Fees
Early access is currently provided free of charge or on terms agreed with you. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance, and paid features will be subject to the pricing shown when you subscribe.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App and asking us to delete your workspace. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, or if required by law. On termination we delete your workspace data as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and one hundred US dollars.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the date above, and notify workspace owners of material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
